The game between Australia and Estonia would turn out to be an even one with the teams taking turn scoring. But Estonia would take command in the second period and win by 4-7.
In the first period both teams have their chances but are unable to convert. About sixteen minutes into the first period Estonia strike, 0-1 but Australia answer within a minute. However Estonia’s Lauri-Robert Indus is able to find the net with under a minute to go of the period, 1-2.
In the second Estonia can score two unanswered goals before Australia’s notorious goal scorer Liam Perry bring them back into the game on the power play. And when Tomas Gartner gets Australia even closer it looks like a game again. But Estonia is the stronger team and makes sure Australia can’t get any momentum going. Estonia’s Simon Georg Mahla makes it 3-5 on the power play.
In the end Australia can never tie the game again, even though they were close. Estonia seal the win with an empty net goal, 4-7, and advance to the B-division final to face Norway.
